ENSUITE COCHRANE | 1) WHAT IS YOUR PREFERRED DESIGN STYLE AND DO YOU HAVE ANY SPECIALTIES?
It may be cliché but the truth is what we really prefer in terms of style is what brings the most joy to our customers. Our team is very diverse and we are just as capable of creating traditional and country styles, through to mid-century modern and right up to the ultra chic look of the New York loft – and we have done them all. I would say our specialty is the ability to create what’s best in each individual situation. We love that. We are always seeking new and unique ways to create space which is timeless and multi-functional.

2) WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO CONSIDER WHEN DESIGNING A HOME?
I think inclusion. Keeping an open and consistent communication line with our client and putting a lot of energy into the planning stage of a project is crucial. It’s easy to get lost in the creative process so it is very important to remember that every client has a personal taste, a unique purpose and specific needs which motivate the design. Product selections and sign-offs, colour choices, style, furnishings; everything needs to build on and accentuate what motivates the client. We are here to serve them and we are all on the same team working towards the same result. We can only achieve these goals through inclusion, communication and remembering the importance of design which takes into consideration that various family members will be using the space often at the same time, so dynamic designing is crucial.

3) DO YOU FREQUENTLY WORK WITH ROBINSON FOR YOUR PROJECTS?
Yes. Robinson is a great partner for us. We have had a long and successful relationship with them. They continually deliver a great experience for us and our clients and they have proven over and over how important good partnerships are to the success of any project. I would recommend working with them to anyone wishing to have a successful project. We often meet with a lighting and bath expert and their friendliness and wealth of knowledge helps our customers make informed selections that they truly fall in love with.
4) WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO WORK WITH ROBINSON PRODUCTS FOR THIS SPACE?
We immediately knew that Robinson would be a perfect fit for this client. Our client had a very specific feel in mind for their project and we knew that Robinson’s product line would be able to provide all the diverse products and finishes this client was looking for. Bath fixtures, lighting, heated towel racks, integrally lit mirror cabinets, sinks and shower fittings. There was nothing that we didn’t find at Robinson. The client loved it.

5) WHERE DO YOU FIND INSPIRATION?
We try to find inspiration unique to each individual client. Maybe a piece of art that they cherish, a connection to a family heirloom; something that speaks about and to them. When there is something that inspires them we can use that inspiration, build on it, take it and create a design that embodies them. Their inspiration inspires us. The incredible feeling gained from seeing the joy a completed renovation brings our customers is immeasurable and that is one of our greatest sources of inspiration!
